The HONEYMOON! And a Happy 1 Month!

We celebrated 1 month of being married yesterday! Can you believe that? Man time flies by so quickly. We had such a wonderful month though. I absolutely love being married to Kory.

We had such a great time on our honeymoon! We went on a cruise for the Eastern Caribbean. It was so fun to be vacationing with each other. We were bummed out we didn't really get to see the islands very much, but at least we got a sneak preview. Cruises are fun, but really most of the experience is on the ship so it almost doesn't matter where you go. I think Kory and I would like to go back to St. Thomas and spend a few days there for one of our anniversary's way down the road, haha. We couldn't have asked for a better experience though. I can never get enough sun! I love it!

These are all of the pictures from when we first got on the ship. We have to do an emergency drill and all of that fun stuff. Kory is modeling the life jacket for you, haha. He is so fun. I was just being silly making a face.

This is the "Sail Away Party," the beautiful sunset, and the balloons on our door saying we're special because we are on our honeymoon.

This was our first dinner on the ship and then our first day off the ship hanging out on the beach. The first day we were at Princess Kays. We just laid out and got some sun. Then Kory and I went swimming. It was a relaxed day, we really enjoyed it.

Then we had the first formal night. We went to dinner at one of the special restaurants. It was an Italian place, but way more Italian than I have ever experienced apparently. It was all sea food! Yuck! I was so excited for some good old spaghetti bolognese or fettucini alfredo...but noooo they served sea food stuff. Kory enjoyed the experience of trying new things. I got sick to my stomach, haha. It was beautiful though. We really enjoyed the romantic setting. They even sang to us and gave us a special cake for our honeymoon. They sang "Happy honeymoon to you, happy honeymoon to you, happy honeymoon, happy honeymoon, happy honeymoon to you," very nervously haha, it was cute/funny. I just loved the moment. Kory is so handsome and I just fall more in love with him every day.

Then we had St. Marten. We walked around the city for a while trying to find sun screen that was cheaper than on the ship. Surprisingly we actually succeeded! I couldn't believe that I didn't have mine. Oh well, we got some so we could work on our tans. After walking around the city a bit we laid out on the beach and went swimming. It was so hot that day, it felt really good to go for a swim. After hanging out for a bit we went and got something to eat at a local diner. It was good food at a pretty good price so it worked out great!

Then St Thomas. Unfortunately we only had 7 hours on this island and it was the island we were looking forward to the most! We had so much fun though. This was Thanksgiving day. We went on an excursion snorkling. We sailed on a "pirate ship" to a place called Turtle Cove where we jumped in the water and saw so many fish and different types of coral. We also got to swim so close to sea turtles we could have touched them, but we didn't because it is illegal (they are endangered). After that adventure we sailed over to a beach you can only get to by boat called Honeymoon Beach. It was really quiet and pretty. We had a BBQ there, and then Kory and I spelled our names in coral. When we got back to port we saw iguanas everywhere, it was crazy. We had to leave earlier than we would have liked, but it was a great day!

This was our Thanksgiving dinner. Our first holiday together as newlyweds. So fun. We had about 6 desserts between the two of us, haha. Of course we had to take pictures of how beautiful and yummy they looked! Later that night they had a champagne tower, it was fun to watch.

The next morning we played Bingo and then got to Grand Turk at 1PM. Kory won a free Bingo card playing in free Blackjack tournament the night before. He won the tournament so he got a free bingo card and some other stuff. Too bad he didn't win when you got $500! haha. He had fun playing in the casino a bit, I got sick of it pretty quick. But bingo was fun. They also did cool sculptings in the watermelon at the buffet. Kory took a picture of that. Grand Turk was a lot of fun. The island was demolished by a hurricane two months ago. So the cruislines pumped a bunch of money (like millions) into revamping the port/beach/shopping area right there. When we got off the ship it was the place we were most impressed with...probably because it was all brand new and recently remodeled! The cool thing about Grand Turk is that there were conch shells everywhere on the beach! So we walked down the beach and picked our favorite. Then we had fun doing more sand art :). It was a great day. We had dinner at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. Then sailed away again, this time back toward Florida.

Our last dinner on the ship was SOOO MUCH FUN! I don't know why but we were just laughing and being silly the whole time. All of the waiters loved us and were laughing with us. Except for one, he came up to our table and said "Please don't do that...in my country we call that PDA-public display of affection." hahahaha, were weren't even kissing! We were just laughing a lot and I had my head on his shoulder. He said he really missed his girfriend and it was hard for him to watch us being so happy together...we're on our honeymoon get over it! jk. It was a really fun dinner though. We ate at the other special restaurant onboard. The food was amazing, and the dessert was amazing. So overall it was a great experience!

We got back to Florida the next day and headed to the hotel. Kory wasn't feeling well so we took a nap. Then we went out for dinner and walked along the little shopping district. We found a gourmet Belgian Chocolate Factory which sold gelato too. We enjoyed our little treat from there. It reminded me of Europe.

The next morning we packed up to fly home. But before going to the airport we went over to the little cafe downstairs and had crepes for breakfast, yum!

Overall we just had the best time ever. Seriously we have been extremely blessed this month to be having wonderful experiences. We are very grateful for the memories we have been making, and our friends and family who love and support us. Getting married is the best!

A Series of Unfortunate Events

The honeymoon was amazing! Don't think that is what I am talking about, haha. I will write about it and tell you everything once I have a chance to upload pics etc.

However, this week some sad things have happened. It just makes me really grateful for my health and safety. It also strengthens my testimony of Heavenly Father and that miracles do happen. I want all of my family and friends to know that I love you guys and I am so happy you are well.

My friend Molly from Boise (We went to school together from K-12) was diagnosed with leukemia. She is only 23 so it is a very sad thing. She just started her chemotherapy this week and it is really hard. But she is the type of person that always has such high spirits, a lot of faith, and a good attitude. I know she'll make it through.

My little brother, Stephen's, best friend Logan Webb (practically my little brother) was in a serious bus accident with 7 other missionaries in Brazil. Here is the story from his big sister Kim:

Monday Logan was in an accident on his mission. We received details yesterday. Yes, we were all dying and wanted to jump a plane to Brazil! The driver of a flat bed semi carrying tiles fell a sleep on a narrow stretch of road in Brazil. Seven Zone leaders (missionaries) were headed to Rio de Janiero for a meeting on a local bus. The semi crashed into the bus causing tiles to fly through the windows and the impact mangle the bus. Everyone was injured. One missionary was sent home for plastic surgery on his crushed nose and cheek bone. Logan was thrown from the back of the bus to the front, hitting something on the way up that caught his knees for a second. He has a bad concussion that caused short term memory loss. He passed out. They braced his body and neck just in case until the test/ xrays were finished. He kept trying to take the braces off and was like..."Where am I!? Everyone was speaking Portuguese, (which he knows fluently) and he could only speak English, no memories of the 2nd language and what he was doing there. Everyone received HUGE gashes and wounds from the tiles that were sewn up on there face. LUCKILY Logan braced his face with his arms and hands causing his cuts mainly there, with only small cuts on his face. His short term memory slowly came back over the last two days as he has slept and healed. His knees are beat up, but he can wobble and hopefully get back tracting/walking fully in the streets in 2 weeks! He was able to talk to my parents after the Mission President gave the details to my parents. He sounded pretty good, they said. Logan said the picture of this mangled bus is crazy, he knows the Lord protected them in a big way that day and it should have been a lot worse. He said he loves the work and is improving so fast from a blessing they gave him. He is fluent again and pulling memories even at the time off the accident. He is already interviewing missionaries and into his daily duties starting yesterday from the release from the hospital. He and the missionaries remember a chunk of a ladies head landing on him, causing some to vomit. NASTY. There were no deaths... hurray. He has a little ways to go though with his legs and head, he mentioned on the phone he was "going to go now and take a nap on his spider man sheets"...coo coo, I think his memory is still a little floppy. We LOVE him and know he IS okay and the Lord is protecting him. He loves his mission and the people there. He is such a strong individual, and loves the gospel. We miss him, but will see him in JUNE!! ...The other missionaries are okay and are released with wounds to continue to heal. So that's the update, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS, NOTES AND WISHES.

How My Husband Shows Me He Loves Me

I love Kory, with all of my heart. I know he loves me too, because he does the cutest and sweetest things to show me that he does. This last week he did a few.

1. One morning he had to wake up at 6 AM so that he could study for his test before he had to go to class. I woke up long enough to make sure he was getting up, then I was out. Kory got ready, and studied for his test. Then 10 minutes before he left, he climbed back in bed (already dressed and ready for the day) and cuddled with me. It meant so much to me that he saved 10 minutes so that he could cuddle with me before he left for the day. It totally made my day.

2. I had just gotten out of the shower and was hurrying to get ready really quick so we could head to work (I had been working in the house all morning and hadn't had time to get ready yet). Then Kory came around the corner with something behind his back and a big smile on his face. I faced him and started smiling, "what do you have?" He kissed me then handed me a beautiful bouquet of orange lilies! (I think they are lilies). For no reason at all, no special occasion, nothing...just because he loves me.

3. Last night I was doing the laundry and I shut the tip of my finger in the folding door. I was tough for about 30 seconds but it hurt!! bad!! I started sniffling as the tears started to form. I was over by the door about to take the garbage out when Kory runs over to me and tells me to put the garbage down. I put it down and proceed to tell him, "I smashed my finger in the door!" (haha this makes me laugh typing it) He heard the "I'm about to cry sniffles" and came running. Kory put his arms around me and comforted me telling me it would be ok. That's the best! I LOVE it when he comforts me and just says it will be ok, it ALWAYS makes me feel better no matter what. He got a bag of ice for me. I said, "why do we need to ice it?" He looked at me like I don't know the answer to that and then said, "we just do." haha, I told him it made me think of how he is going to be as a father when our kids are always asking him "why?" ..."Because I'm your father and I said so."

It means so much to me that my husband does the little things to show me that he loves me. Married life is the best, I could not be happier! I feel so lucky to have Kory as my eternal companion. This is my way of bragging about him, and saying thank you...I love you Kory.

Possible New Blogspot Site Address

So I am thinking I want to change my blogspot address to www.analeeandkory.blogspot.com or something like that. But my question is, if I change it does it automatically direct everyone that follows my blog to the new site address? What do you think? Should I just try it and we'll find out?

CONCLUSION:

Ok so I tried it for 2 minutes and check it out myself. It doesn't redirect you automatically, bummer! It just says that www.missanalee.blogspot.com doesn't exist, sad! I can't decide if I want to go through the hassle of changing it or just leave it. But just so you know, in case you can't find my blog one day it has been changed to www.analeeandkory.blogspot.com :) ok!

HAPPY PHOTO-BOOKING! :)

I Am a Housewife, haha

Yesterday morning Kory called me while he was at school and I was running errands. I couldn't take his call at that moment. But when I did get a chance to communicate with him he asked if we could have his two statistics friends over for dinner that night so they could help him study and do an assignment.

So last night after we got home from work Kory helped me start dinner then he went and worked on homework a little bit. While he did that I set the table, and got the rest of dinner made so everything was almost ready when his friends arrived. Then the four of us had dinner together, we talked and laughed. It was funny. It totally made me feel like a housewife making dinner and preparing to entertain my husband's "clients" or "prospective business associates." It was a cute little moment.

After dinner I did the dishes. THEN I found my wireless router!! Yay! Kory and I have been trying to find that for the last month. I had to reset the router and everything. It took me a while to set everything up. But that also made me feel like a housewife because my Mom also set up all of the computer technical things while my dad worked in his office. I wish I knew half of the technical things that my Mom does. She is so good with computers and technology. So fun, I love being married!
